FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Embassy Theatre in Fort Wayne got a big check today.

The Theatre received $1.75-million from the Northeast Indiana Regional Development Authority and the state’s Regional Cities initiative. Embassy’s Executive Director, Kelly Updike, tells WOWO News the money went toward a $10-million renovation project:

“We refurbished four floors of the former Indiana hotel, which had sat vacant for forty years,” she says. “We have a new ballroom, a new patio, new dressing rooms, and a new history room, and all kinds of improvements.”
