Drive-by shooting in Fort Wayne leaves woman injured, dog dead

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A woman was hospitalized in critical condition after an apparent drive-by shooting on Fort Wayne’s south east side on Tuesday.

Police say a woman was shot and a family dog was killed after a car stopped in front of a home in the 4500 block of Southwest Anthony. Someone then fired multiple shots into the home around noon Tuesday, according to the Fort Wayne Police Department.

The car then drove away. Police have not released a description of the vehicle.

At least four other family members were inside the home during the shooting.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 260-436-7867.
