Darrin,
Yesterday morning, Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2020, there was a news report of a accountant that had wrote checkS from his employer’s account (a construction co.) to pay his credit card. I only caught part of the report, looked on line and did not find it. Please send me a copy of that report or tell me where I can view it.
Thank you,
Long time listener

Hi Connie,

We got the story from one of our affiliates; I can’t find the link at the moment, but here are the details:

“62 year old Frederick McCracken was sentenced to 46 months in prison and ordered to pay more than 3-million dollars in restitution to his former employer, after being found guilty of wire fraud and making false statements on an income tax return. According to court documents, McCracken, who worked as an accountant for an industrial construction company, wrote more than 100 unauthorized checks from his employer into his own business. He also used the company’s bank accounts to pay his personal credit card off more than 50 times. ”

I hope that helps!
