FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne City Council President Russ Jehl has a new job.

Congressman-elect Jim Banks announced today Jehl will serve as his Deputy District Director when he takes office in January.

Jehl tells WOWO News the move will not impact his work on the City Council.

Banks also tapped Derek Pillie of Fort Wayne to be Director of Constituent Services, Kathie Green of Fort Wayne to serve as a Constituent Services and Immigration Specialist, and Tinisha Weigelt of Roanoke as Office Manager and Financial Administrator.

“I am excited to have these talented and experienced Hoosiers join our team,” said Banks. “My goal is to build a top-notch constituent services operation, and the collective experience of my district staff will benefit northeast Indiana residents. We are all excited to get to work on behalf of the Third District.”
