FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Pro football is indeed returning to Fort Wayne.

The Allen County War Memorial Coliseum board of trustees made it official Wednesday, signing a three-year deal with the National Gridiron League to bring indoor football back to the Summit City.

The Journal Gazette reports the Indiana Blue Bombers, coached by Kelvin Kinney, will play half of its 16-game season in Fort Wayne, starting in March.

It’ll be the fifth attempt at indoor football in Fort Wayne after four failed tries between 2003 and 2010.
