FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): By September next year, Fort Wayne residents should be moving into some brand new townhouses in downtown.

On Thursday, the developers for Cityscape Flats unveiled the design for townhouses that will stand on Ewing Street and Fairfield Avenue.

There will be three different type of townhouses, which range from 1,874 to 2,434 square feet. Prices start at $270,000, $335,000 and $375,000. However, the 14 townhouses can be customized.

One Eleven Designs will help the owners decorate the building, which will hike up the price depending on what they want. The homeowners can also choose from pre-made designs like traditional, rustic modern farmhouse, modern and industrial loft.

Even though the developers, DOMO Ventures,  just started to introduce the townhouses to the public, three have already been sold.

“It’s been pretty exciting,” Eric Doden from DOMO Ventures said. “ We just introduced them to the public this week. We’ve already sold three. Again, there is 14 units, so there are 11 available. We’ve had two open houses over the last two days and we’ve had roughly about 15 to 18 people come in and take a look at the product.”

The townhouses are part of a bigger project that  includes 163 apartments, a parking garage and an acre park, which is on top of the parking garage.

The apartments range from $880 to $1,700 a month. Half of the apartments will be ready for move-in by Feb. 1 and the other half are expected to be ready by April 1.

The only set back for the project has been a change in design. Originally, the townhouses were going to be for rent and be three stories. But, customers wanted four stories, a roof top garden and to be able to purchase them.
