Celina man accused of being a major meth distributor

MERCER COUNTY, Ohio (WOWO): A Celina, Ohio man was arrested after police say he is a major meth distributor.

Scott A. Stein, 46, was arrested on Thursday and charged with possession of cocaine, a Level 5 Felony, and aggravated possession for drugs, a Level 1 Felony, according to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office. If he is convicted of all charges, he could spend up to 46 years in jail.

At about 10 a.m. Wednesday, an officer made a traffic stop and found about 44 grams of meth inside a vehicle. Police traced the drugs back to Stein.

Police then obtained a “No Knock Nighttime” search warrant at a residence in the 700 block of S. Elm Street in Celina.

The search warrant was executed at about 12:25 a.m. Thursday. During the search, police arrested Stien. Police found about three grams of cocaine, marijuana, a gun, a safe and paraphernalia.

On Thursday, police obtained a search warrant on a car and the safe. Police found another gun in the safe. Two more guns and meth was found inside the car.

In total, police found more than $150,000 in meth. Police say Stein is a major distributor of meth.
He is being held on 10 percent of a million dollar bond.
