Justin Busch, (R- Allen County Council At-Large) won a full 4-year term on the Allen County Council as the Allen County Republican Party unanimously elected him in a caucus Thursday night.

After being declared the winner, Busch paid tribute to Buskirk, his predecessor, and the other candidates he faced in last week’s caucus, according to a press release.

“I want to thank my fellow candidates for demonstrating their commitment to party unity and declining to run again in tonight’s caucus. I have met with many of them personally in the past week and I have a great deal of respect for all of them,” Busch said.  “I also say thank you to the Republican Precinct Committeemen and women for placing their trust in me in both these caucuses. Roy left big shoes to fill, but I look forward to being a strong conservative voice on the Allen County Council and a leader in our community,” he added.

Last week, Busch also won an 8-way race to serve for the remainder of Buskirk’s term through the end of this year. He was sworn into office on December 1st.
