FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne Police are currently handling a “barricade situation,” just north of downtown.

Michael Joyner with the Fort Wayne Police Department tells WOWO News that the situation is on Sinclair Street near Franklin Avenue. Because of the location, westbound and eastbound traffic is blocked between Schilling Avenue and Franklin Avenue.

Joyner is asking that the area be avoided and make note that Fort Wayne Community Schools may have to adjust their pickup points if the situation continues. Stay tuned to WOWO for continues updates.
