Braun: “put aside politics” with Biden Electoral College win

WASHINGTON (Network Indiana): Indiana U.S. Senator Mike Braun says it’s time to move on and move forward with President-Elect Joe Biden.

In a statement released yesterday, Braun said he, like many Hoosiers, is disappointed in the results of the 2020 Presidential Election confirmed by the Electoral College yesterday.

But the Republican from Jasper says now we must “put aside politics and respect the constitutional process that determines the winner of our Presidential election.”

He added that the Electoral College’s vote should not, however, diminish the need to continue a thorough investigation into reports of irregularities and allegations of fraud related to mail-in voting.

His full statement is below:

“As I have said all along, neither the media nor the candidates decide who wins elections, it is our Constitution, and our Constitution clearly states that the Electoral College meets to determine who is the President-elect. Today, the Electoral College has cast their votes and selected Joe Biden as the President-elect. State Legislatures, State Courts, and the United States Supreme Court have not found enough evidence of voter fraud to overturn the results of the Electoral College vote. I, like many Hoosiers, am disappointed by the results of the Electoral College vote, but today marks a watershed moment where we must put aside politics and respect the constitutional process that determines the winner of our Presidential election. However, the results of the Electoral College should not diminish the need to continue a thorough investigation into the irregularities and credible allegations of fraud related to the unprecedented level of mail-in voting in the 2020 election. I will continue to call on State Governments, the Courts, and Congress to investigate the 2020 elections and take actions to restore integrity to the process so the American people can have faith in our democratic institutions.”

quit being stupid, Mr. Braun —- forget politics, just do what is best for the USA, and what is best is not much of anything the Democrats propose that we do — grow a spine GOP

Let Sen Braun know that we have right to know that our votes across the nation are valid. An evaluation of the process needs to be thoroughly vetted and completed. Putting politics aside and coming together is an easy way to move forward. We need to do the right thing and seriously review the election process for our national elections….voter photo id reduces the potential for fraud.

If anyone truly considers the “voting anomalies” and the over 900 witness testimonies (many from independent and even Democrats) you would not advocate accepting the electoral college votes that were cast because those are based on fictitious votes. The fraud is beyond the pale, and I consider this the worst election abuse I have ever heard of – from all countries – and for all time. Our nation’s democracy has been stained and cannot be restored until laws and procedures are changed to ensure legitimate elections in the future.
