FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – An armed Oath Keeper stood watch outside of North Side High School yesterday, according to our partners in news at ABC 21.

Mark Cowan plans to stand watch at the school everyday, with an AR-15 rifle and handgun in the front seat of his car.

Cowan is part of the Oath Keepers of Indiana, which is an association of “current and formerly serving military, police, and first responders, who pledge to fulfill the oath all military and police take to ‘defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.'”

Cowan stated Friday that he is ready to risk his life to protect the children. The Oath Keepers have almost 100 members who are watching high schools across Eastern Indiana after the most recent school shooting.
