FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): It was a dicey morning commute in and around Fort Wayne, to say the least.
Police dispatchers in Allen and surrounding counties reported dozens of slide-off crashes, as well as several involving multiple vehicles. One crash involving a jack-knifed semi led to the complete closure of Northbound Interstate 69 near Jefferson Blvd. in Fort Wayne.
🚨TRAFFIC ADVISORY🚨 I-69 NB between 303-304 mile markers, jackknifed semi blocking all 3 lanes. Please avoid the area and seek alternate routes of travel.

Police agencies are advising motorists to drive slower than usual today, as new snowfall combined with already ice-covered roads led to more slick conditions. Some relief is coming, however, as temperatures are expected to finally rise above freezing this weekend.
