ANGOLA, Ind. (WOWO): A senior at Angola High School is doing her part to help in the fight against cancer.

18-year-old Abigail Stoy is trying to raise money to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in their “Student of the Year” campaign. She tells WOWO News she’s doing it in honor of her hero, her 14-year-old cousin Olivia, who’s fighting T Lymphoblastic Lymphoma herself.

“I wanted to dive in as soon as I could,” Abigail says. “I have a team of adults and students, and we’ve been doing a lot of different things to reach so many schools and not just my own, and I know a lot of the money I’m raising is useful dollars.”

The last day of her fundraiser is today; you can donate through this link.
