11 military mortars found in Huntington Creek

HUNTINGTON, Ind. (WOWO): The Fort Wayne Police bomb squad was called to Huntington on Tuesday morning after explosives were found in a creek.

Someone found military mortars in a creek and took them to the sheriff’s department, according to our news partners at 21Alive.

The officers determined the mortars had primers in it and appeared to be live rounds.

Police found a total of 11 mortars in the creek.
