FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO):  A woman who was transported to the hospital with an apparent gunshot wound has died.

Not a lot of information has been released, but Fort Wayne police say the woman was driven to the hospital around 9:30 p.m. Saturday night.  Investigators interviewed the driver, and they determined the incident happened in the back yard of 719 Walnut Street, south of downtown Fort Wayne

The cause and manner of death have not officially been released.

This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Coroner’s office and the Allen County Prosecutor’s office.
