United Way funding cut for nearly two dozen organizations

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Less donations means less cash for almost two dozen area nonprofits.

The United Way of Allen County has made their yearly allocation of cash to the 36 agencies they support, but 21 of those groups will be getting less money, while only four will see an increase, according to the Journal Gazette.

A United Way press release says they’re paying out a total of $4.68 million in grants over a three-year commitment, but the paper points out that commitment was lowered due to less total donations from the community.

Agencies getting less money include Neighborhood Health Clinics and the YWCA. See the full list of donations below:
