Trine and University of Saint Francis are seeking Regional Cities funding

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Two area universities are asking for a combined $6.6 million in Regional Cities funding.

The University of Saint Francis and Trine University are asking for the money to help finish some major projects, according to the News-Sentinel.

The University of Saint Francis is asking for $2.8 million to help cover the cost of its renovation of the former Scottish Rite and former Chamber of Commerce buildings.

Trine wants about $3.8 million for plans that include an events center and a hockey arena. The city of Angola has also lent its support for Trine’s request.

The Northeast Indiana Regional Development Authority didn’t make any commitments at their meeting Tuesday.
