One dead after motorcycle crashes into SUV

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A man was killed after his motorcycle collided with an SUV in Fort Wayne on Monday.

The Fort Wayne Police Department tells WOWO news the crash happened at about 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of Hessen Cassel and Homedale Drive. The motorcycle’s driver lost control while trying to avoid a crash with the SUV, which was turning off Homedale onto Hessen Cassel.

He tried stopping but couldn’t, and ended up laying his cycle down and colliding with the vehicle, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Allen County Coroner will release the victim’s name later. This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Coroner’s office and the Allen County Prosecutor’s office.
