Man tries, fails to rob New Haven Kroger

NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WOWO): Police in New Haven are looking for help catching the man who tried to rob the Kroger on Lincoln Highway.

The New Haven Police Department tells WOWO news a man entered the U-Scan self-checkout area of the store shortly before 1pm and asked an employee for change, before shoving the employee to the floor and trying to grab the cash drawer.

He couldn’t get any cash and fled on foot to an unknown vehicle parked in a nearby lot.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing a dark colored shirt and grey shorts, approximately 5’7” medium build with brown hair.
