Man killed by hit-and-run driver

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne police are looking for whoever hit and killed a pedestrian early Sunday morning.

According to a Fort Wayne Police Department press release, officers were called to the intersection of S. Anthony Blvd and E. Hollis Ln at around 12:20am, where the found a man lying in the road. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Police say he was hit by a vehicle traveling southbound on S. Anthony Blvd. This vehicle did not stop, but instead fled the scene, leaving the victim in the roadway. None of the 911 callers were able to provide a description of the vehicle, only reporting that a male had been struck.

The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Jude A. Lamb of Fort Wayne.

 Anyone who may have witnessed the accident or has information is asked to contact police.
