FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): If you plan on seeing KISS when they come to Fort Wayne in August, you should be aware of ticket scams.

The Allen County War Memorial Coliseum says the only authorized ticket sellers are Ticketmaster and the Memorial Coliseum Ticket Office, but ticket scalpers may try selling tickets on other sites.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, April 15, and are priced at $39.50, $89.50 and $125.

After the concert was announced, multiple resale sites were adverting KISS tickets for as much as $2,000, according to a Memorial Coliseum spokesperson.

“The resale market often engages in what we call ‘speculative selling,’” Randy Brown, executive vice president and general manager of the Memorial Coliseum, said. “They are advertising and selling tickets that they don’t have yet, or may never have.”

The concert, which is on August 12, is part of the group’s Freedom to Rock summer tour. The tour has stops in more than 25 cities.
