AUBURN, Ind. (WOWO): The 16-year-old DeKalb High School football player who died Tuesday will be laid to rest on Friday.

Lucas Oberkiser’s funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at County Line Road Church of God in Auburn. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home.

Oberkiser died Tuesday from injuries he sustained in a three-vehicle crash on Friday. His teammate, 17-year-old Derek Padilla, was also in the crash.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. Padilla’s funeral is at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church in Auburn.
