FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne City Councilman is fighting back against allegations that he threatened a police officer’s job.

A video that Councilman Paul Ensley released to our news partners at 21Alive shows an exchange he had with a police officer during a domestic violence investigation that happened Monday morning.

Ensley, who says he was a victim of the violence, says the video refutes police reports that he threatened to have Public Safety Director Rusty York fire the officer.

Police were called to investigate a complaint of domestic battery Monday and found Ensley bleeding in a couple of spots on the face, but no arrests were made.

Ensley was involved in two other incidents with police since he became a city council member on Jan. 1, the News-Sentinel reported. Read more about the incidents in the full News-Sentinel story
