FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne police are investigating the death of a man in southeast Fort Wayne.

A FWPD spokesman says police responded to the apartment complex on Diplomat Drive near McMillen Park at about 4:45 p.m. Monday.

A woman greeted officers in the parking lot and pointed to an apartment, where a male was found unresponsive inside. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy will be done Tuesday by the Allen County Coroner’s Office. The press release did not confirm that it was a shooting, but our partners at 21Alive initially reported it as a shooting.
