ELKHART, Ind. (WOWO): A mental health exam delayed the latest court appearance for a Fort Wayne woman accused of murdering her two children.

29-year-old Amber Pasztor was scheduled to appear in Elkhart County Court on Thursday, but her court date has been pushed back to December 29, according to our sister station 95.3 MNC.

That’s because prosecutors are awaiting the results of a mental health exam, which could determine when she’ll go to trial for the smothering deaths of 7-year-old Lilliana Hernandez and 6-year-old Rene Pasztor last month.

Her attorney says he’s not sure she’s taking her charges seriously, or that she even knows what’s going on.

She’s also admitted to the media that she shot and killed 66-year-old Frank Macomber of Fort Wayne and stole his car, though she has not been charged with his murder yet.
