FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO):  Police say that alcohol may have been a factor in a head on crash.

Early Sunday morning around 1:45 a.m., police were called to W. DuPont Rd. between Lima and Coldwater after reports of a crash.  Two vehicles hit head on.  One vehicle stayed in the middle of the roadway, the other off to the north side of DuPont Rd.

The female driver who was still in the roadway was pronounced dead at the scene.  The second female driver off the road was transported to a local hospital and last listed in serious condition.

No names have yet been released, and police say the incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Coroner’s office and the Allen County Prosecutor’s office.
