General Electric campus’s future is topic in upcoming public meetings

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): What should be done to the old General Electric campus off Broadway?

The public will be able to voice its opinion on the matter in a series of meetings in February, according to our news partners at 21Alive.

Geoff Paddock, 5th district city councilman, has planned three public meetings.
“There are many, many challenges, but it’s kind of like the big elephant that sits in the middle of the room, you can’t ignore it forever. At some point, something has to happen. There are ideas for museums and aquariums and all kinds of retail, so we want to explore that,” Paddock told 21Alive.

The first meeting will be Feb. 11 at Citizens Square. The other two will be Feb. 13 and 18 at the old Taylor University campus on West Rudisill Boulevard.
