FORT WAYNE, Ind. – (WOWO): A national award for a local leader. The Association of Zoos and Aquariums has named Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo Director Jim Anderson its inspector of the year. The award honors Anderson’s work in auditing other zoos around the country. Inspections are major component of a zoo’s accreditation process and cover animal care, veterinary programs, conservation efforts, educational programs and safety.
