YLNI to host Rally the Vote in Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana is hosting an event to promote voting in the upcoming election.

Rally the Vote will be 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3 at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art. The free event will feature outdoor games, music, food, beverages and voter education handouts. The event’s purpose is to promote civic engagement and to increase voter turnout.

During the event, attendees can vote early at the Rousseau Center until 9 p.m.

“Our YLNI the Vote committee has continuously worked hard to advance its efforts in reponise to record low voter turnout in past elections,” YLNI President Stephanie Veit said. “We hope Rally the Vote will unite voters of all ages, beliefs and backgrounds to help everyone better understand who and what we are voting on Nov. 8.”

YLNI partnered with the League of Women Voters of Fort Wayne and Progressive Social Hour to host the event.
