Woodlan High School Teacher Accused of Having Sex with Student

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Woodlan High School teacher has been charged with two felony charges of child seduction, after being accused of having sex with a student.

According to our partners in news at 21 Alive, a 17-year-old who attended Woodlan, is claiming that he had a sexual encounter with 29-year-old special education teacher Paige Mostella. She served as an assistant coach for the school's track team at the time of the incidents.

During one encounter, the teen said he asked to have sex because “it would improve his throwing arm.”

The age of consent in Indiana is 16-years-old, but it's still a felony crime if a person of authority over a minor engages in sexual conduct with said minor.

East Allen County Schools public relations spokesperson Tamyra Kelly tells WOWO News that neither of the subjects are currently at the school.
