Woman Suffers Heart Attack After Receiving Threatening Phone Call

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): One woman is recovering in the hospital after a phone scam gave her a heart attack. Family members of 76-year-old Edna Dominique, of New Haven, tell our partners in news at 21 Alive that the woman received threatening voicemail messages from a man who claimed that he would detonate a bomb placed in a flower pot at her doorway if she did not pick up the phone. Dominique was able to call 911 before having a heart attack. No bomb was found around the house. Police are still investigating the case, which they say is complicated since the phone number that called Dominique's phone is registered to Jamaica.
