AUBURN, Ind. (AP) _ A judge has sentenced a northeastern Indiana woman to 38 years in prison after she pleaded guilty to aiding in attempted murder after her boyfriend shot a deputy town marshal.
 
  DeKalb Superior Court Judge Monte Brown sentenced 34-year-old Julie King to 45 years in prison with seven years suspended Monday. That’s the maximum sentence allowed under terms of her plea agreement.
 
  King apologized in court, saying she thanks God every day that Waterloo Deputy Marshal Steve Brady did not die in the December 2011 shooting by her boyfriend, 41-year-old Ralph Hardiek of Auburn. Police fatally shot Hardiek hours after the shooting when he pointed a gun at them.
 
  Brady, shot just below his left eye socket, underwent surgery to repair his jaw and mouth. He returned to work last November.
