Woman in Jail after Helping Stepson Steal Chicken

NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WOWO): A River Haven woman is in trouble for helping her stepson steal fast food from a warehouse. In August, New Haven Police responded to reports of burglaries at a Wendy's storage unit where over $800 worth of frozen chicken and other items were stolen, that according to The Journal Gazette. Security footage shows a woman and two teens breaking into the storage unit. Working off tips, officials interviewed a teen who eventually confessed to the burglaries and admitted that his stepmom was the woman in the video. 31-year-old Brandi Carpenter now faces charges and is being held in the Allen County Jail for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
