Woman in IHOP Viral Video Appears in Court

FORT WAYNE, Ind (WOWO): A Fort Wayne woman who was the subject of a viral video last week where she went off on a police officer at a local IHOP made her first appearance in court Monday morning.

Unfortunately for 42 year old Shana Hancock, she was a few days late appearing. She missed her first scheduled appearance on Thursday, which caused police to track her down and arrest her. She posted bond the same day.

Our partners in news at 21Alive say Hancock appeared this morning. She's facing a felony charge of Battery Against a Public Safety Officer as well as three other misdemeanor charges.

Since the video was posted last week, most comments on the Youtube video's page as well as the Reddit page about the incident support the officer for remaining calm while Hancock berated him. Hancock as since apologized for how she was represented in the video on Facebook.
