Winter Weather Preparedness Week Safe Driving Tips Pt. 2

INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): Next week is Winter Weather Preparedness Week here in the Hoosier State, as proclaimed by Governor Mike Pence. Here's part two of Safe Driving Tips: 

Yesterday we talked about how to better ensure your safety before you hit the road. Well, in a worst case scenario if you become trapped, here’s what you can do. Indiana State Police advise not to leave your car, as it’s the best protection you have. Tie a brightly colored cloth to your antenna. Roll down your window just enough to let fresh air into your vehicle. Make sure nothing is blocking your exhaust pipe. And, don’t panic! An idling car uses around a gallon of gas per hour.
