Winter weather on its way out of Northeast Indiana, but more is coming

(Photo supplied/National Weather Service Northern Indiana)

The following is from the National Weather Service Northern Indiana.

Low pressure over the Mississippi Valley will move east tonight bringing an end to the light snow (possibly mixed with rain south of Route 24) across our area overnight. Roads which were just wet this afternoon, may become icy in spots tonight as temperatures fall into the teens north and lower to middle 20s south.

High pressure will move into our area Friday providing fair weather. Some sunshine and highs in the lower to middle 30s should allow at least some of today’s snowfall to melt off.

Another low pressure system will move southeast from the upper Midwest Friday night and Saturday, likely causing some snow in our area late Friday night… mixing with or changing to rain Saturday, with a brief period of freezing drizzle also possible over eastern portions of the area Saturday morning.
