Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Tuesday



NORTH WEBSTER, Ind. (WOWO): The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory until 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.

The advisory covers almost all of northern Indiana including Allen, Adams, Blackford, DeKalb, Grant, Huntington, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wabash, Wells, and Whitley Counties.

In Ohio, the advisory covers Defiance, Henry, Paulding, Putnam, Van Wert and Williams Counties in Ohio.

Forecasters say sleet will change into sleet and freezing rain with a chance of snow. Periods of freezing rain could last for a few hours before changing to rain by early afternoon. The icy conditions will impacted overpasses and intersections.

You are advised to watch pavement including sidewalks and driveways. It is expected to hamper morning traffic and could reduce visibility.
