Winter Storm Updates – What You Need To Know

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Indiana and most of North West Ohio have extended the Winter Storm WARNING until 4PM.  We're set to see record breaking colds and hazardous weather in Fort Wayne.  Light snow began Saturday evening into Sunday.

Travel is strongly discouraged.  Roads may become impassable due to blowing and drifting snow.  There's a Travel Warning for Allen, De Kalb, Noble, Huntington, Adams, Lagrange, Steuben, Whitley, Wabash, and Elkhart

The National Weather Service has also issued a Wind Chill Warning until 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Most of the accumulating snow has ended but gusty northwest winds of 20-35MPH are expected Monday.  This will cause blowing and drifting of snow which will likely keep many roads impassable or restricted.

Temperatures will drop drastically with readings dropping into the double digits below zero.  DEADLY wind chills between -30 and -45 can be expected through Tuesday.
