Windows Doors & More is Not Knocking at Your Door

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): If you've received a knock on your front door from a Windows Doors & More representative, odds are, it's a scam.

It's been reported to the Better Business Bureau of Northern Indiana, that a white man, in his mid-30's, approximately 5' 8″ with a beard and weighing around 220 pounds, is going door-to-door, claiming to be with Windows Doors & More. He is wearing one of their shirts with an embroidered logo and also a Windows Doors & More lanyard.

“Under no circumstances does Windows Doors and More participate in door-to-door solicitations,” said Kevin Hunter, President of Windows Doors & More.

The homeowner, who is a police officer, reported this man who came to her home was also casing her property. It is not known what this individual is up to so be on the lookout and report him to the local police if you see him in your neighborhood.

Hunter added said, “Not only do scams such as this do great damage to our reputation, but more important that a homeowner could end up getting hurt as well. And that's far bigger than our reputation.”
