FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Some snow could be headed to Fort Wayne, but the main concern is the dangerous wind chills.
The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory from 11 p.m. Sunday night until noon on Monday. In Allen County, wind chills are expected to drop between 15-20 below zero. An arctic front tracking across the region today will bring the cold conditions, and if you live closer to the lake, lake effect snow showers will also be a factor. A winter weather advisory is in effect for southwest lower Michigan and portions of far north central Indiana, with snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches through Monday morning.
You’re advice to wear a hat and gloves when outside and dress accordingly. Just 30 minutes of exposed skin can result in frostbite and even lead to hypothermia.
