West Nile Virus in Steuben County

The Steuben County Health Department is telling everyone in their area to take precautions against west nile virus. They received confirmation from the State Health Department that some mosquitos in their area have tested positive for the virus, which can be deadly. They’re telling everyone, if you’re going to be outside…especially during the evening hours…you’ll want to make sure you put on bug spray and wear long pants…and shirt if at all possible. The guys at the CDC say 66 people have died and nearly 1600 people across the country have become sick from this virus. They say it’s the worst they’ve ever seen.
