WELLS COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): You probably already e-file your taxes, and soon, you'll be able to e-file your legal paperwork.
Wells County will be among the first in Indiana to implement the new tech at its courthouses to allow people – and their law firms – to file court documents without having to travel to the courthouse, which should save law firms time and money. The Journal Gazette reports that Wells County will get the option sometime in the first half of this year, while Allen County will see their e-filing roll out in late 2016 or perhaps early 2017.
Wells County Judge Andrew Antrim tells the paper he's hoping to see the new service go live by March, saying a similar service has had a good reception in Hamilton County since it went online last summer.
