WellPoint Announces Earnings Increase

WellPoint says its net income rose one percent in the latest earnings period. The Indianapolis-based company says it earned $691.2 million in the three months that ended September 30th. The increase came as the health insurer trimmed expenses to balance flat revenue and an enrollment decline.
