FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): It was a busy night for meteorologists in Indiana as a strong storm front moved through the state.

Amos Dodson of the National Weather Service tells WOWO news there were radar indications of a tornado in Bluffton, but nothing seen on the ground.

“We didn’t hear any reports of a tornado being seen, but we did get a report of some damage in the Bluffton area. There was a barn that was destroyed. We’ll send out some survey teams to make a determination if it was a possible tornado.”

Dodson says they got the most reports of damage out of Huntington County, but meteorologists won’t know for sure just how much damage was done until later today.

Between Indiana Michigan Power and Northeastern REMC, a little more than 600 homes spread across Noble, Whitley and Huntington Counties were without power as of 4:30 this morning.
