Waterloo Town Council Plans to Rebuild Play Structure

WATERLOO, Ind. (WOWO): A fire destroyed a Waterloo play structure, and now, residents are coming together to re-open the playground by this summer.

On Sunday, a few kids attempted to start a small fire pit, that eventually carried over to the giant wooden play structure.

At a Waterloo Town Council meeting last night, the city discussed ways to rebuild Francis Thompson Park.

According to our partners in news at 21Alive, the town is asking the property owner for permission to complete demolish the structure and build a new one. Officials plan to have the park back open to kids and families by July.
