FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Scammers are going door-to-door claiming to be affiliated with a Fort Wayne company.

People claiming to have Windows Doors & More products have been going around door-to-door. President and CEO of the Better Business Bureau in Northern Indiana Marjorie Stephens said it may seem like they have an affiliation with the company, but it’s a lie.

She said if someone approaches your door to request a business card. Then, contact the BBB, which can verify the company.

“Watch who you are opening your door to. If they are high pressuring you into buying a product or service, that’s usually a bad sign,” Stephens said.

“People shouldn’t take the word right off the bat,” Stephens said. “If you are thinking about purchasing these products You should probably get at least three quotes from other companies as well.”

If you’ve fallen victim to one of the scammers. Stephens said you should call the BBB.

“Report it to us so we can get that information out or check into what we can do to help them,” she said.
