KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind (WOWO): Warsaw Police have made an arrest in an alleged weekend rape. On Saturday night, March 30th, Warsaw Police got a call to meet a woman who said that she had been assaulted and raped near Fort Wayne Avenue, near downtown Warsaw.

The victim told police that she was walking to meet friends when a man in a black hooded sweatshirt started to follow her. The suspect caught up with her and forced her between houses on Fort Wayne Avenue, where he forced sexual intercourse with her and then let her leave.

As police searched the area, they received a tip about a possible suspect.

Police made contact with 24-year-old Anthony Fulton, of Warsaw and initially arrested him on charges of possession of a synthetic drug after paraphernalia.

The investigation provided probable cause for the arrest of Fulton for rape and criminal deviate conduct by force. He’s being held at the Kosciusko County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
