WARSAW, Ind. (WOWO): A Warsaw man has been arrested on battery charges after allegedly beating his girlfriend in front of their two children. 

23 year old Chaise Belcher was arrested Sunday afternoon, a week after the incident occurred. 

According to Kosciusko County officials, Belcher threw a beer can at a woman that hit her under her left eye, causing a cut and bruise on her face. Then, Belcher allegedly took the phone from her and blocked the doorway so that she couldn’t leave or use a different phone. 

Belcher was charged with felony domestic battery with a child under 16 present and misdemeanor domestic battery. He is being held at Kosciusko County Jail.
