Warsaw Man Batters Ex-Wife In Front of Kids

WARSAW, Ind. (WOWO): A Warsaw man is facing multiple charges after authorities say he beat his ex-wife and led police on a high-speed chase.

Ryan Rautenberg is being charged with entry by force, domestic battery, resisting law enforcement and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Police say Rautenberg forced his way into his ex-wife's home early Sunday morning and beat her in front of their two children. He had already driven away when police arrived and the woman told them he appeared to be severely intoxicated. The 27-year-old man refused to pull over during an attempted traffic stop and a police pursuit ensued.

Moments later, he was arrested and taken to the Kosciusko County Jail after he lost control of his vehicle and hit a tree.
