Warsaw man accused of rape, strangulation and domestic battery

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A Warsaw man is facing a number of charges after allegedly attacking his wife.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department says 39-year-old Jeremy Summers was arrested on initial charges of rape, criminal confinement, strangulation and domestic battery. His wife told police he accused her of cheating, then began hitting and choking her until she passed out.

When she woke up, he then allegedly forced himself on her, while being “extremely violent” in the process. She was able to escape the next morning to a neighbor’s house and contact police.

Summers is being held on a $50,000 bond.
